Tigers Go Undefeated in Wittenberg Holiday Classic

Springfield, OH- The Tigers were back in action for the final day of the 2022 Wittenberg Holiday Classic to take on the Eagles of Clark State. The Tigers who were coming off of a 73-65 win over La Roche looked to cap off the tournament with one more win before heading into the holiday break. With a final score of 67-43 the Red and White were able to pick up their seventh win of the season and fourth win at home.

The Tigers shot 38.5% from the field, 27.8% in three points, and 54.5% from the line. Wittenberg was able to put 67 points on the board being led by guard, Kelsey Ragan with 10 points, followed by Jade Simpson and Evie Wolshire with eight apiece. Defensively, the Tigers were led by Jazmyn Gaines-Burns  with eight rebounds on the day.

Wittenberg was able to land 18 points in the first quarter and 22 points in the second to head into halftime with 40 points on the board and a 21-point lead. The Red & White were able to stay ahead in the third quarter with 8 points and 19 in the fourth.
