Red & White Find Success in Day Two of Wittenberg Holiday Classic

Springfield, OH- The Tigers returned to Pam Evans Smith Arena to take on the Red Hawks of La Roche in the the second day of the Wittenberg Holiday Classic. The Tigers looked to start off their tournament appearance with a win and after a fast start the Red & White were able to take down the Red Hawks with a score of 73-65.

The Tigers shot 56.6% from the field, 37.5% in three points, and 72.0% from the line. Wittenberg was able to put 73 points on the board being led by guard, Jade Simpson with 17 points, nine rebounds, one block and one assist.

Wittenberg was able to land 14 points in the first quarter and 20 points in the second to head into halftime with 34 points on the board and a twelve-point lead. The Red & White were able to stay ahead in the third quarter with 21 points and 18 in the fourth.  

Up Next: Wittenberg will return to action on December 21st against Clark State beginning at 2:00 PM.
