Holland, MI- Wittenberg traveled to Holland, MI to take on the No. 1 ranked Flying Dutchmen of Hope College. After shooting 44.4% from the field and 100% from the line the Tigers were able to put 64 points on the board being led by forward, Haylyn Hiles with 19 points on the night, seven rebounds, and three assists. Wittenberg stayed toe-to-toe with the No. 1 team in the third quarter putting up even digits but fell with a score of 86-64.
Wittenberg was able to land 16 points in the first quarter and 12 points in the second to head into halftime with 28 points on the board but trailed the Flying Dutchmen by 18. The Red & White were able to stay on the board in the third quarter with 23 points, even with the Orange but only put up 13 in the fourth.
The Tigers led the night in three-point percentage with 31.3% compared to Hopes 26.3%, free-throw percentage with 100% compared to the opponents 70%, rebounds with 39 on the evening compared with Hopes 34, and assists with 12.
