Tigers' Defense Unable to Hold North Park

Springfield, OH -- On Tuesday evening, the Wittenberg men's volleyball team hosted the Vikings of North Park, where the Tigers fell 3-1 (25-27, 18-25, 25-19, 17-25). Wittenberg focused on their defense, collecting 57 digs with each player having at least two where 14 coming from junior Dominic Melchiorre. Not far behind was junior Chris Goertz who had 12 digs with six kills on the offensive and senior Russ Burke with 11 digs. Leading the front was Melchiorre with nine kills and freshman Jack Boone who grabbed eight with 26 attempts. 

The Tigers were able to keep the pressure against the Vikings, but were not able to come out with a victory.

Wittenberg will hosting their final home stretch for senior night versus Olivet on Friday, March 18, at 7:00 p.m.
