Tyler Johnston was named the ninth coach in the programs history prior to the 2017-2018 season.

Wittenberg Highlights

  • The duo of John DeVito and Jake Stockhausen earned All-NCAC in 2021, along with singles player Joe Patton.
  • Under Johnston’s guidance, Martin Mora was named to the All-NCAC Honorable Mention in the 2017-18 season.
  • Junior, Carli Milano, was named NCAC Player of the Week after two strong singles wins in matches against St. Mary’s and St. Francis, as well as a win in second doubles against St. Francis.
  • Milano was also given All-NCAC Honorable Mention. 

Playing Career

  • Johnston spent his first two years of college in the NJCAA, where he found himself ranked in the top 20 in the country for both singles and doubles.
  • After transferring to Ohio Dominican University (DII), he twice captained and played number-one singles and number-one doubles for the highly touted Panthers.
  • Johnston was a key contributor to the Panther’s first-ever NCAA Tournament Appearance.
  • Named the 2014 Ohio Dominican University “Male Pride Panther”
  • To this day, Johnston still holds the all-time record for singles wins at Wilmington High School, was selected as the Dayton Area Co-Player of the Year in 2009, and is now an inductee in the Wilmington High School Sports Hall of Fame.
