Men’s Soccer Overpower Earlham Quakers

Springfield, OH- The Tigers faced off against the Earlham Quakers on Edwards-Maurer Field for a non-conference match-up. The Tigers faced a fast paced Quaker team but neither were able to capitalize on their early shots in the first half.

Wittenberg's River Banks was able to get free with an assist from Eli Esterline at 31:09. The Tigers led the half in shots and corner kicks and were able to carry this momentum into the second half. A mishap by Earlham's defense led to another goal for Wittenberg bringing the score to 2-0 at the beginning of the season

The Quakers applied high pressure to the ball but were unable to stop Sean Williams who was able to score twice, one unassisted at 55:11 and one assisted by Eli Esterline at 58:04. Those mark Williams 7th goal of the season. Aaron Craddock was able to add one on the board as well at 59:50 with an assist from Sean Williams bringing the score to 5-0.

Tiger defense was able to keep the Quakers to only two shots on goal.
