DiSanto Leads No. 10 Men's Golf To Wittenberg Fall Classic Title

Springfield, OH – The No. 10 Wittenberg men's golf team take first-place from their home invitational, the Wittenberg Fall Classic. Led by Evan DiSanto, claiming his first collegiate win, with a two-day 36-hole score of 138 (-4). DiSanto opened up the action with a round one score of 67 following up with final 18-hole round of 71. Wittenberg claimed the top three spots on the leaderboard over the weekend. JF Aber earned a second-place finish right on the heels of DiSanto. Matthew Mattioli rounded out the top five with a T-3 finish. Coming off a first-place finish a week ago at the Wabash Invitational, Aber carded rounds of 69 and 72, finishing with a 36-hole total of 141 (-1). After earning a top five finish a year ago, Mattioli carded rounds of 71 and 75 for a two-day score of 146 (+4). Nick Pidgeon rounded out scoring Tiger qualifiers, posting rounds of 73 and 75, earning a T-6 finish with a 148 (+6) through 36-holes.

Wittenberg showed the strength of their depth, putting a second scoring team in the field and claiming a second-place finish amongst the field of nine teams. Austin Georger earned a T-6 finish, carding rounds of 73 and 75, finishing with a 36-hole total of 148 (+6). William McDavid cracked the top 15, claiming a T-11 finish with a two-round total of 151 (+9), posting rounds of 74 and 77. Mark Sulek capped off the top 15 with a T-15 finish, posting rounds of 76 and 77 for a two-day total of 153 (+11). Jake Yarbrough secured a top 20 finish with rounds of 81 and 73, jumping up 16 spots on day two. Yarbrough finished T-20 with a 36-hole score of 154 (+12).
