Springfield OH- Wittenberg faced off against the Sewanee Tigers in a matchup that would give Wittenberg its first win of the 2019-20 season. A back and forth struggle kept the game locked at 0-0 heading into the third period. Megan Niswonger was able to break open the scoring drought at 34:06 mark, capitalizing off the assist by Jensen Bury coming off of a penalty corner and ultimately leading to a Wittenberg win.

Wittenberg led in shots on goal and penalty corners while goalkeeper, Emma Hurguy made two saves for the Red and White keeping the first clean sheet of the season.

When asked about the win midfielder Megan Niswonger said "we really worked on passing the ball and getting rid of it fast and we applied our practice plan. We're really working to do the same thing we did today [for next Thursday against Denison]"
