Tyson Beacham was hired as the quarterbacks coach at Berry College in April of 2014. He took over recievers ahead of the 2018 season. 

Under Beacham, Berry's quarterbacks consistently ranked among the best in the Southern Athletic Association. In 2017, Beacham helped Berry to their first top-25 ranking, as they finished the year ranked No. 18 in D3football.com and the AFCA poll, averaging 229.9 passing yards per game, as well as 170.0 rushing yards. 

In 2016, Slade Dale rushed for a program-record 660 yards and helped the Vikings to their first-ever conference title. Dale Jackson (17C) was an SAA Honorable mention and the No. 2 passing threat in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) in 2014, tossing for 2,083 yards and 20 TDs. Jackson continued his success into 2015, where he was a top-five passing threat and helped the Vikings to a 7-3 record. In the 2018 season WR Mason Kinsey was 1st team SAA and finished 6th in the country in TDs.

Beacham was a member of the Birmingham-Southern College football team from 2009 until 2013. He started one game as quarterback during the 2012 season when the Panthers won the first-ever SAA Conferenece Championship. As a senior, Beacham started all nine games at quarterback and was voted permanent team captain by his teammates for the 2013 season. At the end of the year, he received the Racehorse Award (offensive MVP) from the coaching staff. 

Off the field, he was a member of the SAA Academic Honor Roll in 2012. Beacham earned a bachelor's degree in educational services from BSC. 

Beacham is a native of Athens, GA. where he attended Athens Christian School.
