After another successful season for the Wittenberg University Men's & Women's Basketball Teams, we have now reached tournament time in Springfield, Ohio. While Wittenberg has done away with ticketing for all home regular season contests, NCAC and NCAA Policies mandate that admission be charged for postseason tournaments. Details for ticket sales are below.
Following a pair of wins last night (2/25) in Pam Evans Smith Arena, both the Men's and Women's Basketball teams have advanced to the semifinal round of their respective NCAC Basketball Tournaments.
As the top seed, the men will now host the semifinals and finals this weekend, February 28th and 29th, in Springfield. Wittenberg will open play at 5:30 p.m. on Friday (2/28) against fifth-seeded Oberlin, while the 7:30 p.m. game will feature third-seeded Wooster and seventh-seeded Denison. Friday night's winners will then meet in the NCAC Championship game on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in Springfield with the league's automatic bid into the 2020 NCAA Div. III Men's Basketball Tournament on the line.
For the women, the third-seeded Tigers will hit the road this weekend for semifinal action, taking on second-seeded Denison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday (2/28) at the Neal Fieldhouse on the campus of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Top-seeded DePauw opens play on Friday at 5:00 p.m in the other semifinal matchup against fourth-seeded Ohio Wesleyan. Friday night's women's winners will then meet NCAC Championship game on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in Greencastle with the league's automatic bid into the 2020 NCAA Div. III Women's Basketball Tournament on the line.
Men's Tournament Semifinal and Finals Ticket Sales Information (at Wittenberg)
For Friday night's NCAC Men's Basketball Tournament Semifinal Games, tickets will go on sale at 4:00 p.m. at Wittenberg University in the Hall of Honor Room off the Legends Lobby of the HWA Complex. For Saturday's Championship Game, ticket sales will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall of Honor Room.
