Moderwell & Gray Named Wittenberg SAAC Tigers of the Month

Each month, members of SAAC select one male and female athlete who embody the core principles of compassion, conviction, and competitiveness to be named Tiger of the Month. 

For the month of February, Alexis Gray from Wittenberg Women's Track and Field and Noah Moderwell of Wittenberg Men's Lacross have been recognized for their exceptional abilities and impact on the field. 

Alexis Gray ranked third in the nation headed into the NCAA Track and Field Championships. She now owns the school record in the 800-meter run at a time of 2:12.69, which came on February 1 at Ohio Northern University. At the NCAC Track and Field Championships, Gray set the meet record in the 800-meter with a time of 2:11.60, earning her NCAC Distance Athlete of the YearAlexis is doing everything right in her senior year and she is seeing a big-time payoff.  She is the best of all time at Wittenberg in her discipline and has solidified herself as one of the best of all-time in NCAA DIII. 

Noah Moderwell became the Wittenberg Men's Lacrosse all-time leading scorer on February 29 against Transylvania with 129 goals over the past four years and 190 points. During February, Moderwell posted 13 goals, 7 assists, and 20 pointsNoah is a double major with a current GPA of 3.75Moderwell works in the Math Lab, and has a job lined up after college in Chicago, IL at an Accounting Firm.
