Carlisle, Pennsylvania - For the first time in school history, Wittenberg was represented in both the men's and women's cross country NCAA Division III Championship meet in the same year. Both Conor Kolka (Dexter, Michigan/Dexter) and Ella Webster (Van Buren, Ohio/Van Buren) did not disappoint with a pair of outstanding performances.

Racing at Big Spring High School in Carlisle, Pennsylania, in a competition hosted by Dickinson University, Kolka placed 145th in a field of 294 men's runners and Webster placed 72nd in a field of 293 runners. It was the first appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships for both of them.

Kolka completed the challenging 8K course in 25:58. The winning time on the men's side was 24:02. Kolka is the fourth Wittenberg runner to qualify for nationals, joining Dale Markley in 1975, Tom Dann in 1977, and Jeremy Kaufman in 1994.
