Kolka & Khosla Break School Records at Mike Woods Invitational

Geneseo, NY—Wittenberg Cross Country competed in the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo University. The meet featured many of the top national ranked teams across both races as well as conference competition. 

The Tigers competed well on both sides with the team leaders of Conor Kolka and Sydney Khosla breaking new school records. Kolka finished 10th overall in a time of 24:13.8. Khosla finished 8th overall in a time of 21:27.2. 

Continuing with the women's team. Ella Webster finished 2nd for the Tigers and 13th overall in 21:34.3. Also breaking her previous school record. Emma Hawk was third in a time of 22:15.5. Megan Keys would finish 4th for the Tigers in 22:26.2. Wrapping up the top 5 was Maddi Clark in 23:16.2. The team finished 5th out of 23 teams. 

On the men's side, Peter Caine was the teams 2nd runner to finish in 25:57.1. Evan Haemmerle was 3rd in for the Tigers in a time of 26:09.9. Lukas Rieben ran 26:22.1, and teammate Adam Arndt finished close in 26:25.8 to be the 5th scoring runner. The team finished 14th out of 25 teams.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will turn to the post season where they will compete at the NCAC Conference Championships hosted by Denison University on Saturday October 28th.
