Turkovich Seals Invitation To NCAA DIII Championship Meet

Holland, MI – The Wittenberg Cross Country Team traveled to the NCAA Division III Regional Championships hosted by Hope College. The Tigers were led by NCAC individual champion, Corin Turkovich, capturing a 15th place finish in a time of 21:52.1. Turkovich now has the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships to keep training for on Saturday, November 19 from Forest Akers in Lansing, MI. This marks the first time a Wittenberg Tiger qualified for the NCAA Championships since Mary Pfeifer made three consecutive appearances from 2009-11. She will be just the third Wittenberg Tiger to compete at the NCAA DIII Championship meet, with recent Wittenberg Athletics Hall of Honor inductee Abi Gerstle making three appearances at the final race of the season from 2000-2002.

Sydney Khosla comes off an All-NCAC performance at the conference championship meet, earning All-Region honors and cracking the top 30, earning a 28th place finish with a time of 22:15.3.

Kiki Krohmer made her NCAA Regional debut, capturing a 60th place finish with a time of 22:51.9. Megan Keys was right on her heels, crossing the line in a time of 23:06.5. Emma Hawk finished her first NCAA Regional meet in a time of 23:14.0, earning a 79th place finish.
