Cross Country Conquers All-Ohio With Top 30 Finishes

Cedarville, OH – Wittenberg traveled to the All-Ohio Championships at nearby Cedarville University. The Tigers captured a sixth-place finish on both the men's and women's side amongst the field of Division III teams in the pack.

On the women's side, the Tigers had two-place in the top fifteen with Lauren Welker crossing the line at 24:08.8 for a seventh-place finish for Division III. The 24:08.8 time was a new personal best for the senior. Following behind was Corin Turkovich at 13th with a 24:20.2 finish. Megan Keys and Elizabeth Canright rounded things out in the top 30 finishers for the Tigers while Sydney Khosla crossed the line as Wittenberg's fifth runner.

On the men's side, the Tigers were the top scoring North Coast Athletic Conference team amongst the bunch, amassing 202 points, averaging under a 5:45 mile time. Finishing two spots off of NCAC foe Wooster, who took fourth place, the Wittenberg women's squad accumulated 117 points with four Top 30 finishers. The Tigers were not far off the NCAC pace, posting a 6:43 mile average.

Wittenberg's top finishers each made the Top 30, paced by Conor Kolka, earning a 26th place finish in a time of 27:25.2. The next Tiger to cross the line was Cullen Sainey, stopping his time at 27:40.8 for a 30th place finish. Emphram Evans broke into the top 50 with a 48th place finish, clocking a time of 28:40.6. Andrew Reese was just seconds behind Evans, coming in with a final time of 29:07.6 and a 56th place finish on the day. The fifth scoring Tiger was Caden Zellner, posting time of 29:26.4 and cracking the top 60.
