Tigers Compete At North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Meet

GAMBIER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers turned in finishes of eighth in the women's race and ninth in the men's race at the 2015 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship meet.

Allegheny paced  the women's competition with 51 points, followed closely by Oberlin. Wittenberg checked in with 248 points.

On the men's side, it was the Gators on top again, this time with 42 points. Wittenberg's final count was 259 points.

Leading the way for Wittenberg's women was junior Erin Hord (Madison, Ohio/Madison) in 39th place in a time of 25:00. Junior Hannah Meier (North Muskegon, Mich./North Muskegon) was next in 64th place in a time of 26:01, followed closely by senior Megan Bittinger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Christian) in 69th in 26:06, senior Lorin Conti (Milford, Ohio/Milford) in 73rd in 26:13, and senior Megan Heitkemper (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) in 79th in 26:22.

For the men, junior Jon Osman (Troy, Ohio/Troy) was tops among the Wittenberg contingent in 46th place in a time of 27:34. He was followed by senior Courtland Johnson (Versailles, Ky./Woodford County) in 49th in 27:83, freshman Charles Rodeheffer (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy) in 71st in 28:22, junior Ethan Raines (Maineville, Ohio/Little Miami) in 80th in 28:46, and sophomore Jersson Pachar (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) in 91st in 29:58.

Wittenberg will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional, hosted by Rose-Hulman at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
