Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Women's Water Polo team made their home debut, hosting the Mercyhurst Lakers and the Presidents from Washington & Jefferson. Wittenberg split the day, falling to Mercyhurst in the opening match of the afternoon, 12-10. The Tigers returned to the water, picking up a comeback win over the Presidents from W&J, 12-8.
Senior Kaley Cordova opened the day with five of Wittenberg's 10 goals against Mercyhurst. Bianca Gallegos added three scores in her Wittenberg home debut. Elizabeth Schexnaider tallied a team-high three assists with one goal in opening game against the Lakers.
Bianca Gallegos posted a team-high four goals, with two assists and a steal in the Tiger's win over W&J. Shania Stone added three goals and two steals and two blocks. Megan Lythgoe and Evelyn Heil tallied two goals each.
