Women's Volleyball Sweeps Earlham in Non-Conference Battle

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger women's volleyball team picked up their second win in a row, with a (25-12, 25-20, 25-21) sweep of the Earlham College Quakers. The Tigers put down 40 kills on the night, hitting .216. with the opposition planting just 22 kills for a .0.93 kill percentage.

The Tigers were led by Alana Bartulovic, recording 10 kills on 24 swings with a .250. Tyler Linkhart was close behind with nine kills, logging a .240 attacking clip.

Wittenberg took control early, setting the tone from the opening serve. The Tigers tallied 12 kills in the opening set, hitting .182 to open the night. The Tiger front line was holding strong from the jump and holding the quaker attack to just three kills.

Wittenberg kept the pressure on in the second and third sets, putting down 14 kills apiece. The Tigers executed a sideout offense 16 of 22 times in the third set, hitting .278.

Facilitating the Wittenberg offense was Mack Ricketts, posting 30 of Wittenberg's 34 assists. Ally White returned to form, posting a team-high 17 digs, adding one service ace. Cam Colahan kept the Earlham defense honest with three service aces, along with Kendall Black to lead the team.
