No. 21 Tigers Fall To No. 4 Calvin in NCAC-MIAA Crossover Opener

Springfield, OH – The No. 21 Wittenberg Tiger women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought set to long time rival and No. 4 Calvin University, 3-1 (20-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22), on the opening night of the NCAC-MIAA Crossover Challenge. Wittenberg finished with three Tiger's tallying nine kills on the night including Piper Ricketts, Tyler Linkhart and Kendall Black.

Wittenberg took the first set from the Knights, winning the race to 20. The Tigers recorded 11 kills in the first set for a 61 sideout percentage. The Tiger offense would slow down in the second and third sets, amassing just 18 kills between the two. Wittenberg bounced back in the fourth, in a match that would see 16 ties and 10 total lead changes, taking Calvin down to the wire.
