"I couldn't be more excited to step into the assistant role at Wittenberg. It's a program that is known for winning and has at tradition of excellence. They have great support from the administration and have always been surrounded by amazing people," Peterson said. "I think my experience adds a new layer to the gym that can push us forward to win more championships and go on big runs in the NCAA tournament. I can't wait to join Coach Miller and the rest of the Wittenberg family. Tiger up!"

Recognized as AVCA Midwest Region Player of the Year in each of her final three years. Peterson added Third-Team AVCA All-America honors as a redshirt junior, garnering Honorable Mention All-America laurels as a redshirt sophomore in 2019. Peterson rounded out her career as a Fourth-Team All-America selection by Volleyball Magazine in 2021. She currently ranks seventh in Dayton history with 1,471 career kills. She was named Most Outstanding Player at 2020 Atlantic 10 Championship

"We are really excited to add Jamie to our staff, as we worked through our search and interview process, we believed Jamie was the right fit for us to continue to grow as a program. She is a winner, coming from a Division I program with a similar landscape to Witt and having just competed in the only US based professional league, she knows how to compete," Head Coach Carus-Miller said. "Her maturity around the game and preparation will fit seamlessly into our program's standards. She is exceptional at winning people over and I am excited to see how she attacks the recruiting trail as a Wittenberg Tiger. I believe she will be a great fit for our student athletes, and a fantastic addition to our university and athletic department."
