Tigers Take Care Of Geneseo In Straight Sets

Pittsburgh, PA – The Wittenberg women's volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 3-0 [25-18, 25-13, 25-17] sweep of the SUNY-Geneseo. The Tigers came out swinging, posting a .265 hitting percentage with 45 kills on 117 total attacks, led by Tyler Linkhart with 15 kills on the afternoon. Linkhart recorded a .382 kill marker to get the weekend going with just two errors against 34 total swings, adding 16 digs and two blocks to her total. Hannah Schartz put together a 10-kill performance on 21 attacks.

The Tigers did not let Geneseo get anything going in the first set, holding the Knights to hitting just .021 and forcing six errors on 47 attacks. On the opposite side of the net, Wittenberg put together a .220 hitting percentage to get the day going, smashing 18 kills on 50 attempts. Wittenberg saw their best offensive performance in the second set logging a .520 kill percentage with just one error on 25 total attacks and putting down 14 kills. The Red and White swept things up in the third, once again, holding the Knights to a .044 hitting percentage.  Mack Ricketts tallied 39 of the 43 Tiger assists on the day. Dakota White led the Tiger defense with 19 digs, adding two assists and an ace to her credit.
