Women's Volleyball Continues Winning Ways At Oberlin

Oberlin, OH – The Wittenberg women's volleyball team secured their 11th consecutive win, taking down the Oberlin College Yeowomen in straight sets, 3-0 [25-21, 25-21, 25-11]. The Tigers put together a .311 kill percentage on the night, putting down 41 kills on 90 total attacks. Wittenberg had a flawless third set, hitting .867 with 13 kill on 15 attacks without a single error. Tyler Linkhart led the Tiger attack with 12 kills on 30 total attacks and just three errors for a .300 kill marker. Linkhart added three service aces and two blocks along with seven digs. Gabi Hancock posted a .538 kill clip, recording nine kills on 13 swings and just two errors, adding six block assists up front for the Tiger defense.

NCAC Leaders: Linkhart (204) and Katie Hiestand (193) currently rank among the top five in kills among the NCAC, with Linkhart sitting at 4th and Hiestand at 5th. Sarah Hettich holds down the top-spot in the hitting percentage column, logging a .427 marker. She also ranks third in blocks per set with 1.06. Dakota White leads the conference in digs, holding down the second spot in digs per set at 5.27. Mack Ricketts rounds out the NCAC leaders, ranking fifth in assists per set at 7.61.

As a unite the Tigers lead the conference in a multitude of categories, including kill percentage, assists, digs and blocks.

Wittenberg will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Muskingum Invitational, taking on Muskingum, Baldwin Wallace and Juniata.
