Tigers Sweep Gators For Second NCAC Win In A Row

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg women's volleyball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Gators of Allegheny 3-0 [25-14, 25-7, 25-21]. The Tigers put together a .287 attacking clip with 37 kills on 87 swings and just 12 errors. Tyler Linkhart continued to be the focal-point of the Tiger offense, smashing 16 kills on 22 attacks for a team-high .727 kill percentage. Linkhart set the all-time hitting-percentage with at-least 20 attacks in a match. Maya Hagander posted a .600 hitting percentage, putting down seven kills on 10 attacks, adding a block assists.

Match Breakdown

The Tigers were a force up front at the net, holding the Gators to a negative attacking marker in the first two sets. Wittenberg put together a .526 hitting marker in the second set, smashing 11 kills on 19 swings with just one error. Hanna Schartz tallied six kills adding to the Tiger offensive attack. Mack Ricketts stood alone, facilitating the Tiger attack with 30 assists. Dakota White and Katie Hiestand combined for 26 of the Tigers' 45 digs.
