Cox & Yontz Take In AVCA All-America Accolades

Wittenberg women's volleyball senior duo Aubrey Cox and Taylor Yontz garner American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)All-American status, as posted on Tuesday afternoon. With this selection, Wittenberg volleyball has earned 46 total All-America selections. This is the third All-America selection for Cox and the second selection for Yontz.

Cox garnered the third All-America nod of her career, achieving honorable mention status this season. The senior from Tipp City, OH also became a four-time All-Great Lakes Region selection, on her way to becoming the first four-time All-NCAC first-team selection. During her senior season, Cox compiled 176 kills, 61 blocks with a .300 hitting percentage. She finished her career with 339 blocks, sixth-most in Wittenberg history.

Yontz earned All-America honorable mention status for the second straight year after a standout season for Wittenberg. She compiled her third 500+ dig season for the Tigers, finishing her career with 1,818 digs, ninth-most on the school's all-time dig list. She was named the NCAC Libero of the Year for the second time in her career as well as being a first-team all-conference member. Yontz became the third Tiger to earn back-to-back Libero of the Year honors, joining the likes of Emilie Schmid ('03,'04) and Christina Gilene ('11,'12). Yontz was also named an All-Great Lakes region player for the second time in her career.
