Women's Volleyball to Compete at Cedarville on April 14

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio--The Wittenberg University women's volleyball team will compete in their Spring Season Tournament on April 14th at Cedarville University, head coach Paco Labraor announced Thursday. 

The Tigers will travel to Cedarville University, in nearby Cedarville, Ohio this coming Saturday, April 14th  where Wittenberg will take-on; Cedarville University (Division II), Taylor University (NAIA), Wright State University (Division I), and Muskingum University (Division III).

"We're excited to announce our spring schedule for this year," says Labrador. "For the past month, our players have been working hard in the gym and in the weight room and we are excited to demonstrate our growth this weekend against our opponents."

The Tigers were the NCAA Division III National Runners-Up in 2017 after putting together a 27-3 season on the court. Wittenberg captured their 11th straight NCAC Tournament Title in 2017, which also served as the program's 23rd overall NCAC Title. The team went on to travel to Otterbein for the 2017 Regional tournament, as Wittenberg won the Great Lakes Regional for the eigth time in school history. At the National Tournament, Wittenberg took down Swarthmore 3-0 and Calvin 3-0, before eventually falling to Claremont-Mudd Scripps in the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship match.
