TIFFIN, Ohio-- #4 Wittenberg women's volleyball continued to roll, as the Tigers won both of their matches on Saturday to improve to 6-0.  Wittenberg first defeated Heidelberg 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-23. The Tigers then went on to outlast Thomas More 3-0 with sets of 25-11, 25-19 and 25-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Wittenberg's young offense continued to grow with each set victory, as the Tigers utilized hot starts to the opening sets of all three matches over the weekend. The Tigers K% continued to trend upward, as the Tigers got off to a slow start a weekend ago against nationaly ranked competition. Wittenberg slugged a K% of .191 against Heidelberg, and .244 against Thomas More.

WHO STOOD OUT: Maddie Fischer put together matches of 11 and 15 kills on Saturday, averaging 3.9 kills per-set, and 4.2 digs per set. The Tiger's lone senior was also named to the All-Tournament team upon the completion of Saturday's matches. Taylor Brown totaled 16 kills and 18 digs on Saturday, as the junior's play alongside Fischer proved to be too much for opponents all weekend long. Karen Wildemann was also named to the all-tournament team for the Tigers, as the junior put together matches of 34 and 35 assists, while totaling 16 digs and seven kills on the day.

WHAT IT MEANS: Wittenberg notches their first 6-0 start since 2012, as the youthful squad jumped up from #11 in the AVCA poll to #4 after putting together a 3-0 opening weekend a week ago. The Tigers move to 17-10 all time versus the Student Princes of Heidelberg, and to 21-8 all-time against the Saints of Thomas More. Wittenberg's next match opens an opportunity for the Tigers to start the season 7-0 for the first time since the 2011 season, a campaign that saw Coach Labrador's squad finish 37-3 and win the NCAA Division III National Championship.

NOTABLE: The Tiger's hot start looks to continue next weekend against #8 Washington-St. Louis, #25 Ohio Northern, and Clarkson.
