Tiger Women's Volleyball Defeats The Alcobendas in Spain; 3-1

MADRID, Spain—As a part of their educational trip to Spain, the Wittenberg Tigers Women's volleyball team took the court today to take on The Alcobendas. Wittenberg managed to come out on top in the international friendly, by scores of 25-18, 25-17, 24-26, and 25-23.

"We have been practicing learning how to adapt all spring, and today was a great test of putting it into action through a game plan. I thought we adapted well given the circumstances of being somewhat jet lagged, not to mention it being our first match," said Coach Labrador.

"We are very much looking forward to our next four tests and seeing how much more we can grow in our time here after getting the job done today."

All of Wittenberg's matches are considered friendly's throughout the trip, with the Tigers returning to action on May 26th against the Spanish Junior National Team.
Wittenberg finished 2015 at a 29-3 mark that featured a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship game and a final national ranking of #2 in the country. The Tigers open up play in 2016 against Hope at the Mt. Union Invitational.
