SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - In a match-up of the top team in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and the top team in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), the Wittenberg Tigers turned in a decisive 3-0 victory over visiting Randolph-Macon.

Sixth-ranked Wittenberg won its fourth straight match and improved to 19-2 overall on the 2015 season. Randolph-Macon, which is among the "Others Receiving Votes" in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, fell to 19-4.

The match was the second in as many days for Wittenberg, which will wrap up a busy week with an NCAC match against Oberlin at 1 p.m. Saturday, also in Pam Evans Smith Arena. The Tigers can clinch at least a share of the league's regular season championship with a win against the Yeowomen.

Wittenberg pounced immediately in the first set, jumping out to an 8-3 lead before Randolph-Macon called a timeout. The Tigers never let up, however, cruising to a 25-12 win, followed by sets of 25-17 and 25-22 in a match that took just one hour and 10 minutes to play, including a 10-minute cooldown between the second and third frames.

For the second straight day, Wittenberg held its opponent to a .000 attack percentage, compared to .195 for the Tigers. Junior Camila Quinones (Sunbury, Ohio/Worthington Christian) led the way offensively with 12 kills and a .409 attack percentage, followed by junior Emily Kahlig (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater) with eight kills and three blocks in her first match back from injury.

Junior Courtney Huck (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) led in assists with 18, followed closely by freshman Megan Flaherty (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) with 13. Huck also finished with three kills on just five attempts, while Flaherty did the job defensively with 12 digs, trailing only senior libero Kristina Fultz (Batavia, Ohio/Glen Este) in that category.
