Sixth-Ranked Tigers Keep Rolling With Sweep At Kenyon

GAMBIER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers remained unbeaten in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play with a 3-0 sweep of host Kenyon.

Wittenberg improved to 6-0 in the league with two games remaining in the regular season title chase, part of an overall record of 18-2. The sixth-ranked Tigers have Oberlin and DePauw left between them and their 10th straight NCAC title in the last 21st crown overall.

The win over Kenyon was Wittenberg's 38th in a row in the series, and it was Wittenberg's 57th consecutive NCAC regular season victory. The Ladies, who fell to 9-11 overall and 0-6 in the NCAC, haven't beaten Wittenberg since 1990.

Set scores in the latest Wittenberg victory were 25-21, 25-9 and 25-15. The Tigers attacked at a .219 clip in the match, including a blistering .345 in the second set, while Kenyon was held to negative numbers in two of the sets a .000 overall.

Individually, senior Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) continued her stellar play with team-highs of nine kills and 12 digs. The reigning NCAC Player of the Week, Seidenstricker attacked at an efficient .381 percentage on 21 swings.

Junior Camila Quinones (Sunbury, Ohio/Worthington Christian) also finished with nine kills in the match. Freshman Megan Flaherty (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) led in assists with 16, and junior Kendall Farmer (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) was outstanding at the net with five blocks.
