WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers opened the 2015 season with a dominating 3-0 victory over Ohio Athletic Conference powerhouse Otterbein.

The win came via set scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-19 as the fourth-ranked Tigers looked sharp in their final tune-up for the upcoming Wittenberg Courtyard Marriott National Invitational on Sept. 4-5 at Pam Evans Smith Arena. Nationally ranked St. Thomas and Juniata are among the invited guests in the event.

Wittenberg spread the statistical wealth around against Otterbein, while attacking at a relatively modest .055 percentage for the match. Senior Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) led the offense with eight kills, and she also provided a spark on defense with a team-high 13 digs. Junior Courtney Huck (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) dished out 10 assists, while junior middle hitters Kendall Farmer (Gurnee, Ill. / Warren Township) and Emily Kahlig (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater) posted matching totals of four kills apiece.

Farmer and junior Camila Quiñones (Sunbury, Ohio/Worthington Christian) were tops in blocks with four apiece.
