Tigers Handle Kenyon To Remain Unbeaten In NCAC Play

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers continued to roll through the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) after handing visiting Kenyon a 3-0 defeat.

The win moved the sixth-ranked Tigers to 3-0 in the NCAC and 12-3 overall, heading into another league showdown on Thursday against Denison. After the first weekend without a game since the start of the season in late August, the Tigers will then host last year's league runner-up DePauw on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Against Kenyon, the Tigers dominated on offense, pounding out a .400 attack percentage in the first set, followed by totals of .231 and a blistering .429 in the third and final frame. The set scores were 25-9, 25-19, 25-9.

Individually, junior Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) led the offense with eight kills and a .421 attack percentage, followed by sophomore Emily Kahlig (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater) with seven kills and a .455 attack percentage. Sophomore Courtney Huck (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) dished out 15 assists and was perfect on two attack attempts, and senior Kiah Murray (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) sparked the defense with 18 digs.

Also of note, Seidenstricker added eight digs and four blocks, matching Kahlig's total.
