GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Wittenberg Tigers extended their North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season winning streak to 40 straight matches with a 3-1 victory over DePauw in a battle of unbeaten league teams.

The win was Wittenberg's 10th in a row since a 2-5 start to the 2013 season. The Tigers, who did have a streak of 26 consecutive sets snapped by DePauw, are now won 5-0 in the NCAC. Including NCAC Tournament matches, Wittenberg has now 47 straight matches over conference rivals, dating back to a 2010 loss to Hiram.

DePauw saw its 17-match winning streak snapped to fall to 17-2 overall and 4-1 in the league. The Tigers have not beaten Wittenberg since joining the NCAC and fell to 2-7 all-time against the Red & White Tigers.

Wittenberg jumped on top with a nearly flawless first set. En route to a 25-16 decision, the visiting Tigers attacked at a .393 percentage while committing just one error.

DePauw played much better defense in the second set to square the match with a 25-20 victory. But Wittenberg came back to take the final two frames by scores of 25-22 and 25-23.

Senior Andrea Behling (Columbus, Ind./North) led the Tigers with 12 kills in the match, while freshman Emily Kahlig (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater) continued her efficient play in the middle with seven kills and a .545 attack percentage. Also of note was the play off the bench from freshman Camila Quinones (Sunbury, Ohio/Worthington Christian), who finished with five kills and was credited with two solo blocks out of three total.

Finally, junior setter Meghan Vodopich (Canton, Ohio/Massillon Perry) was stellar, dishing out 34 assists to go along with six digs and eight kills in 10 swings for a phenomenal .700 attack percentage.
