Tigers Roll Past Oberlin To Remain Unbeaten In NCAC Play

OBERLIN, Ohio - The third-ranked Wittenberg volleyball team made short work of host Oberlin in a 3-0 victory.

The Tigers remained unbeaten in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play after winning by set scores of 25-9, 25-9 and 25-6. Wittenberg improved to 16-4 overall and 6-0 in the NCAC. Oberlin dropped to 7-13 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

Junior Andrea Behling (Columbus, Ind./North) led the way with 10 kills and a .562 attack percentage. She also was a force defensively with four blocks, including two solos.

Senior Jessica Batanian (Sylvania, Ohio/Notre Dame) turned in a fine match as well, finishing with six kills and a match-high 16 digs. Senior Hallie Donathan (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecanoe) topped both teams in assists with 20.

The Tigers return home for three matches next weekend, starting with the biggest match of the NCAC regular season against Hiram on Friday, Oct. 19. Wittenberg wraps up the NCAC regular season with a match against Allegheny the next day before closing out the home portion of the regular season schedule against Marietta later in the day.
