DELAWARE, Ohio – Wittenberg's third-ranked volleyball team turned in one of its most efficient performances of the 2012 season in a 3-0 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) victory over host Ohio Wesleyan.

The win was Wittenberg's 30th straight in NCAC regular season play, dating back to October 2010. More importantly, the Tigers improved to 3-0 on the 2012 season to go along with an 11-2 overall record. Ohio Wesleyan fell to 9-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

Wittenberg was never threatened in beating Ohio Wesleyan for the 27th straight time, dating back to 1996. The Tigers, who have a 40-5 lead in the all-time series between the two programs, cruised to the win by set scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-9.

Offensively, Wittenberg was paced by freshman Kara Seidenstricker (London, Ohio/Jonathan Alder), who pounded 12 kills in 18 attempts without an error for a phenomenal attack percentage of .667. Seidenstricker added three service aces, three digs and three blocks in a tremendous all-around performance.

Three other Tigers finished with six kills in the match: junior Andrea Behling (Columbus, Ind./North), freshman Melissa Emming (West Chester, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) and senior Jessica Batanian (Sylvania, Ohio/Notre Dame). Senior setter Jordan Mungovan (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) led in assists with 14, while senior libero Christina Gilene (Milford, Ohio/McNicholas) topped both teams in digs with 12.
