DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on their fourth consecutive undefeated North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season, sweeping host Ohio Wesleyan 3-0 by scores of 25-20, 25-5, 25-16.

The win moved the Tigers, ranked No. 8 in the country, to 22-4 overall and 16-0 in the NCAC, heading into a weekend trip to San Antonio, Texas. Wittenberg will take on second-ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh, first-ranked Juniata and 17th ranked Trinity in the Trinity National Invitational. Ohio Wesleyan dropped to 3-26 overall and 3-12 in the conference.

After a slow start, the Tigers dominated the second set, highlighted by a 13-point scoring run on the serve of senior setter Erin Slattery (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston). During that run, Slattery dished out six of her match-high 26 assists, and sophomore outside hitter Kimmie Dyer (Copley, Ohio/Copley) pounded six of her match-high 11 kills.

Dyer finished with a double-double as she added 10 digs, two behind the match-high total of 12 posted by freshman Christina Gilene (Milford, Ohio/McNicholas). Also of note were the 10 kills by junior Amy Cox (Newark, Ohio/Catholic) and 11 assists from freshman Jordan Mungovan (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran).

Wittenberg ends the 2009 NCAC regular season on a conference record 65-match winning streak.
