Wittenberg Tops Greensboro to Finish 4-0 In Pioneer Wild West Tournament

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Wittenberg Tigers were the class of the Pioneer Wild West Tournament, putting the finishing touches on a 4-0 weekend with a 3-1 win over Greensboro.

The Tigers improved to 22-4 overall, despite dropping their first game of the tournament. The final scores were 30-16, 27-30, 30-27 and 30-24.

Sophomore outside hitter Jan Kehres capped her outstanding weekend with a 16-dig, 12-kill, two-ace performance. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Bell added a match-high 19 kills and two aces, while freshman outside hitter Jackie Williams chipped in with 11 kills. Defensively, the Tigers were outstanding again, paced by the middle hitting duo of Emily Dixon, a senior, and Caitlin Augustus, a sophomore, who finished with six blocks apiece.
