SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Tigers enjoyed a successful opening to the Wittenberg Fall Classic, sweeping Ohio Athletic Conference powerhouse Mount Union, 3-0.

The Tigers, ranked sixth in the nation and first in the region, improved to 24-4 on the season.

The all-around play of sophomore outside hitter Jan Kehres was the story for the Tigers as she posted nine kills, 16 digs, two service aces and two solo blocks. Sophomore Emily Bell was the top Tiger on offense with 13 kills, sophomore Sarah Matesich distributed 24 assists to lead the way in that area and freshman libero Laura Fender topped the defense with 20 digs.
