Tigers Continue to Dominate On Home Floor

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers continued their dominance at the HPER Center with an easy victory over Franklin College. The Tigers came out strong and swept the match 3-0, making it the 26th time this season that an opponent failed to win a single game in the match. The win pushed the Tigers record to 30-2 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the Wittenberg Invitational III.

After dropping a match last weekend, the Tigers have rebounded nicely with three straight wins at home. Today's victims were the Grizzlies of Franklin College, as the Tigers rolled over them with scores of 30-17, 30-14, 30-24. The Tigers were led by senior Kristin Fox, who controlled the net both offensively and defensively with match highs of 11 kills and five blocks. Freshman Jan Kehres also chipped in with eight kills for the Tigers. A night after shattering the school and NCAC records for digs, senior Emilie Schmid added another 15 digs to her record breaking numbers.

The Tigers continue play in the Wittenberg Invitational III this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. when they take on the Lady Muskies of Muskingum. This match will close out a wonderful regular season for the Tigers as the go for win No. 31.
