Wittenberg Defeats Frostburg State For Third Straight Win

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Wittenberg Tigers moved another step closer to meeting the first of many lofty goals for the 2004 season with a 3-0 victory over Frostburg State in the third match of the Juniata Tournament.

The eighth-ranked Tigers overwhelmed Frostburg State 30-16, 30-21, 30-25. It was Wittenberg's second 3-0 victory in the first three matches of the 2004 season.

Senior Sarah Yuskewich played well as always, finishing with 50 assists. Senior Emilie Schmid contributed 17 digs and four aces, matching the ace total of senior Aubrey Anderson. Junior Emily Dixon was solid again, contributing seven blocks and nine kills. Senior Kristin Fox matched that kill total with nine in the match, and senior Monica McDonald topped the balanced Tiger offense with 11 kills.
