Wittenberg Defeats Wilmington To Remain Perfect

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers improved to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in the tournament with their second straight win over an OAC opponent. The Tigers made quick work of Wilmington College with a convincing 3-0 victory.

The Tigers captured all three games with ease, finishing with scores of 30-14, 30-14, 30-10. Freshman Jan Kehres had the best match of her young career, leading the Tigers with 15 kills. Junior Linda Young proved to be back from injury, finishing with 9 strong kills from the outside. And Seniors Monica McDonald and Kristin Fox played well defensively, while Emilie Schmid chipped in with 27 digs from her libero position.

The Tigers are back in action today at 2:30 against Waynesburg College, needing only one more victory to become the tournament champs.
