#1 Wittenberg def. #2 Denison
3-0 (30-23, 30-17, 30-15)
The top-seeded Tigers overwhelmed second-seeded Denison in three straight games to extend its run of dominance over the rest of the conference to five straight years. Tournament MVP Tiffany Keller was dominant at the net, recording five blocks and eight kills to show the way for the Tigers, who improved to 26-8 with the win. Last year's Tournament MVP and 2001 All-Tournament choice Teresa Murphy chipped in with seven kills and Wittenberg's third all-tourney team member Monica McDonald led the Tiger offense with 14 kills. The 2001 championship match was a rematch of the 2000 NCAC Tournament title contest won by Wittenberg 3-0. In winning their fifth consecutive NCAC tournament crown, the Tigers have now won 15 straight games in NCAC tournament championship matches, dating back to Game 1 of the 1997 final against Ohio Wesleyan. Wittenberg has appeared in the last six championship matches, losing only in 1996 to Ohio Wesleyan in five games. The Tigers have claimed eight tournament titles since 1992.

The Big Red were paced by junior setter Regann Goodwin, who had 33 assists, while outside hitters Katie Annarino and Becky Turk each shouldered the offensive load with 10 kills each. Denison finishes the season with a 21-12 record.
