Granville, Ohio – The Wittenberg University Track and Field team traveled to Denison University on Friday afternoon for the Big Red Invitational. The Tigers would battle competition from Ohio Dominican, along with fellow NCAC rivals Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan, Kenyon and DePauw.

Ryelee Clary captured the top spot in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.61, Alexis Johnson followed closely for a third-place finish with a time of 17.84. Johnson would earn a first-place finish in the long jump competition, crossing a distance of 5.03m.  Tiarra Avant would cross the line in a time of 27.39 for a second-place finish in the 200m dash, Avant would post a 13.53 finish in the 100m dash for a sixth-place finish. Leah Hilley secured a fourth-place finish in the 100m dash in a time of 13.37, adding a seventh-place finish in the 200m dash in a time of 28.25. Anna Lebold would take the third spot in the 400m dash with a time of 1:03.15. Erika Bournival crossed the line in the 1500m run in a time of 5:12.32 for a fourth-place finish. Alissa Spears and Nia Gilbert finished back-to-back in the triple jump competition with final leaps of 9.67 and 9.19. Anissa Dann posted a throw of 43.40m in the hammer throw portion of the competition. Hannah Eley took sixth-place in the shot put portion of the day with a toss of 10.52m. Eley would add a fifth-place finish in the discus toss, with a throw of 33.73m. Hilley would add a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 23.97.

Tyler Branton took third-place in the 100m dash with a time of 11.26. Austyn Albanese crossed the line in a time of 23.62 in the 200m dash for a fifth-place finish. Wittenberg would finish back-to-back in the 110m hurdles, as Tyler Gittins crossed the line in a time of 15.94 for a third-place finish, followed by Garrin Bachinski with a time of 16.68. D'Anthony Dorsey captured a fourth-place finish in the shot put competition with a toss of 13.97m. Curtis Quimby took sixth-place in the discus throw with a toss of 39.76m. Quimby added a second sixth-place finish to his day, with a 42.06m mark in the hammer throw.
