DELAWARE, Ohio - A handful of national meet hopefuls represented Wittenberg at the Ron Althoff Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on May 11-12.

No team scores were recorded as most of the teams involved in the competition sent a similar sized contingent as Wittenberg. The Ron Althoff Invitational was the second of three "last-chance" meets that will include Tiger track and field competitors aspiring to qualify for the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships at St. Lawrence University May 21-23.

The highlight was provided by junior Justin Fisher (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll), who posted a mark of 14.53 meters to win the triple jump. He moved into the top 15 nationally in the event, which would be good enough for qualification for the NCAA meet.

Senior Justin Yates (Dayton, Ohio/Bellbrook) finished first in the 400 meters. He remains on the "bubble" for national meet qualification after earning an invitation a year ago. The same goes for junior Laike Wallace (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington), who placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in his quest to gain entry to the NCAA Championships for a second straight year.

The top individual finishers for the women were junior Brea Medlock (Galena, Ohio/Big Walnut) and junior Jordan Crow (North Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde), both of whom finished fourth. Medlock competed in the 200 meters and Crow competed in the 400-meter hurdles.

In addition, the Tigers won the 4x400-meter relay as sophomore Alaina Longshore (Columbus, Ohio/Franklin Heights), sophomore Frankie Bowsher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln), freshman Sara Richards (Columbus, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln) and Medlock crossed the finish line in 3:54.84.

Finally, junior Becah Delp (York, Pa./Eastern York) finished 10th in the heptathlon.
