PENDLETON, Ind. — The Wittenberg women's tennis team improved to 9-2 on the season with an 8-1 win at Anderson (Ind.) on Sunday to close out non-conference play.
The Basics

The Match
- Wittenberg opened the match by winning all three doubles courts.
- Junior Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) and freshman Kylie Wilson (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, freshmen Sophia Pischalko (Granger, Ind./Penn) and Breanna Ball (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) won 8-0 at No. 2, and freshmen Claire Loomis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Marin Summers (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) won 8-3 at No. 3.
- The Tigers then won five of the six singles courts to clinch the match.
- Sproule won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
- Wilson won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
- Pischalko won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
- Loomis won 7-6(2), 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
- Freshman Celeste Hartings (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecanoe) won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 6 singles.
- Ball fell 6-4, 4-6, 6-10 at No. 4 singles.
