Women's Tennis Defeats DePauw

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Women's Tennis team defeated the Tigers from DePauw University for the first time in program history, 5-4.

Wittenberg fell behind early, as the visitors from DePauw took an early 2-1 lead after the doubles action. The duo of Ashley Isaac and Caroline Sproule battled on the first doubles court to take an 8-6 victory.

 Both Isaac and Sproule would go on to secure wins in their singles matches for Wittenberg. Isaac would take her match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Sproule would survive a three-set battle, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.

PJ Meyers tallied the third win for the Tigers, on the third singles court at 6-3, 6-2.

Claire Sullivan sealed the victory for the Tigers, with another three-set battle, taking the match with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 decision.
