Orlando, FL – The Wittenberg Tiger Women's Tennis team defeated the Scots from Covenant College, 8-1, in their opening match from their Spring Break trip.
The Tigers opened up with a clean sweep of the doubles courts, going up 3-0. Ashley Isaac and Caroline Sproule took the first court, 8-2. PJ Meyers and Claire Sullivan battled out the win on the second court with an 8-7 (8-6) win. Kelsey Smith and Claire Stechow completed the sweep with an 8-5 win on the third court.
Isaac would go on to take her singles match, 6-2, 6-2. Sproule defeated her competition from Covenant in singles action, 6-2, 6-4. Meyers earned the win at 6-3, 6-4. Sullivan earning the 6-3, 6-3 win and Smith dropping just one game with the 6-0, 6-1 win.
