Westerville, Ohio – Despite closing out the regular season with a 6-2 loss at Otterbein on Good Friday, the Wittenberg University Women's Tennis team finished the regular season with an even .500 record at 8-8 for the first time since the 2011-12 season. The Tigers will now set their sights on the 2019 NCAC Tournament, which is set to be held this weekend, April 26-28, at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Who Stood Out

Three different women's players accounted for the Tigers' two points in the setback against Otterbein, starting with the senior duo of Carli Milano and Alivia Livesay earning an 8-6 win in the second doubles flight against Marriella Briones and Jordyn Traxler.

As the matched turned to singles action, junior Sarah Gallup was the lone individual winner for the Tigers as she picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win over Makayla Sutter in the second flight. While Gallup was the lone winner, there were plenty of other competitive singles matches, including a thriller in the first flight that saw Milano drop a 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 heartbreaker against Sydney Bergman.
