Angola, Indiana – The Wittenberg University Women's Tennis team upped its overall record to 6-3 on the season following a 5-2 win at Trine on Saturday in Northeast Indiana.

Who Stood Out

Senior Alivia Livesay and freshman Sarah Wilke were both double winners for the Tigers in the 5-2 victory over the Thunder.

Livesay joined with classmate Carli Milano for an 8-1 victory in the second doubles flight, while Wilke paired with sophomore Kathleen McGuff for a hard-fought 8-5 win in the third doubles flight.

With Wittenberg holding a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition, individual wins from Livesay, Wilke and junior Sarah Gallup secured the 5-2 win for the Tigers. Livesay was a 7-5, 6-3 winner over Kyra Braun in the third singles flight, while Wilke picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win over Delaney Keirn in the fourth flight. Finally, Gallup grinded out a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win over Tatum Matthews in the second flight to cap off the match for Wittenberg.

Wittenberg returns to the Hoosier state on Monday (3/25) for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match at Hanover, before traveling to Wooster on Sunday (3/31) for a 1:00 p.m. NCAC cross-over match against the Fighting Scots.
