Sewanee, Tennessee – The Wittenberg University Women's Tennis team dropped its first dual match of the season on Monday as the Tigers dropped an 8-1 decision at No. 12 Sewanee in Tennessee. While the team will now travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina, to train for the remainder of the week, their next match will be contested this Sunday (3/10) at Div. I Dayton.

Who Stood Out

After succumbing to the Tigers in all three of the doubles matches, freshman Sarah Wilke was the lone Wittenberg player to taste victory in the singles portion of the match as she grinded out a 6-0, 4-6, 10-6 win over Tyer Jones in the fifth flight.
