SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg played at home for the first time in 2016-17 season on Friday, squaring off against the Adrian College women's tennis program. While the Bulldogs and Tigers battled on the courts, it seemed that the weather had other plans, as the meeting was shortened due to rain.

Wittenberg defeated the Bulldogs, 5-0, in the non-conference meeting before most of the bad weather made its way through Springfield. The Tigers swept doubles play by scores of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-4 at one, two and three.

Carli Milano and Nora Jacobson both took home points for the Tigers out of the number one and number six positions, while the rest of the singles matches could not be completed due to the inclement weather.

The Tigers return to action on September 20, when the Otterbein Cardinals travel to Springfield for a 4:30 PM non-conference tilt.
